| About Us |

Learning
Performance Link (LPL) was established specifically to bring
to industry and commerce an ethical and high quality
approach to skills development, assessment and quality
assurance. Being closely in touch with the action at policy
level, our services are never static, and are always informed by
resourceful engagement with the latest developments.
The
very essence of our business is to assist organisations to reach
the place where they themselves can respond creatively to
The SAQA, Skills Development and Employment Equity Acts,
creation of National Standards and Quality Assurance
Bodies, Learnerships, outcomes-based education &
training, credit accumulation and other challenging initiatives
to make South Africa a competitive, learning nation. We are
not your typical ‘consultant’ who will come into the
organisation with solutions and then exit leaving little
behind. Our approach is to make you self-sufficient as
early as possible.

John Tyers, in his
personal capacity has been involved in NQF policy conceptualisation, development and implementation since the start of these
processes from as early as 1992. He established
Learning Performance Link in February 1998 and has expanded its services
through strategic alliances. The first alliance of this nature, during 1999, has
been with the Independent Examinations Board, (IEB) which has
resulted in a depth of assessment and related quality assurance expertise.
We added to our alliance partners Dumisani Dlamini (Umtapo Consulting). |
